Gib Gate (est. 1954)

Located in Mittagong, Gib Gate is the Southern Highlands’ leading academic primary school. A proven specialist in Gifted and Talented Education, Gib Gate offers boys and girls a personalised, broad-ranging learning experience.

Frensham (est. 1913)

Sturt (est. 1941)

Adjacent to the Frensham campus is Sturt School of Excellence in Arts, Design & Fabrication. An extensive annual education program delivers opportunities for people of all ages and skill to engage in meaningful development of their creative and technical abilities across a range of mediums. This offering is presented in a contemporary, world-class centre for design, technology and the Arts.

The internationally renowned Sturt School for Wood has produced some of Australia’s finest woodworkers and furniture makers and offers a certified one-year full-time course in fine furniture design and technology. Among the opportunities are annual residential Winter and Summer Schools, weekly term classes and short/weekend courses in specialist areas.

As part of our residency program, Sturt brings the best possible artists and teachers from Australia and overseas to work in our studios and deliver our highly sought-after programmes.

Sturt Gallery & Studios are open 7 days a week, 10am–5pm. Sturt Gallery presents an annual program of changing professional exhibitions and the shop promotes the work of over 300 Australian contemporary artists and designer-makers in ceramics, fine furniture, glass, jewellery, leather, textiles, wood and more.
