Visual arts have been a strong part of Gib Gate education. Children are
encouraged to participate in both exploratory and practical activities such as: drawing and painting, printmaking
(linocut and monoprint), collage work, as well as model making.
Children are given the opportunity to visit art galleries and artists'
studios to give them a first hand experience in looking at art outside the classroom context; learning to observe
and learning about the history of artists and their work.
Artwork by Gib Gate children is actively displayed or exhibited, either
at the school or at Sturt Gallery.
