Music plays a central
role in the life of the school.
Each class from Pre-School receives weekly specialist music lessons.
The children love singing, with infants meeting three times, and primary twice a week. We have a Madrigal Group which sings mostly
acappella and children must audition for highly sought after places.
Gib Gate has a 30 piece
orchestra comprising students from Year 2 - 6. Instrument tuition
is provided by a dedicated team of tutors. Piano, Violin, Cello,
Flute, Drums, Singing and Clarinet are available. All students
in Year 2 experience learning an instrument through our violin class programme and Infant students may participate
in the recorder group lessons.
All students participate in the School
Musical Productions and there are many performance opportunities
throughout the year.
Children at Gib Gate love music making in all its forms and the beautifully
appointed music centre provides the perfect venue.
